The Bible defines sin as "missing the mark." This idea pictures an archer aiming an arrow at a target representing God's character, glory, and perfection. The arrow falls short - missing the mark of the glory of God. God has set a standard of perfection, and sin is that which disobeys what God has said is right. God does not accept or tolerate sin.

Who has sin?
Ever since Adam and Eve (Genesis 3) crossed over God's standard of right and wrong and sinned, spiritual death and separation came to us all (Romans 6:12). In fact, the Bible says in Romans 3:23, "all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" The Bible is very inclusive when speaking about our sin!

Where does sin take you?
The Bible declares the certainty of Hell. In Matthew 5:22, 29-30, Jesus spoke strongly of a hell of fire. In Matthew 7:13, Jesus speaks of the broad way that leads to destruction. Matthew 8:12, 22:13, 25:30 speaks of outer darkness where there is gnashing of teeth. You might be thinking, "I can't believe God would give me that kind of destiny!" God doesn't give you or anybody that kind of destiny. Our sin gives us this destiny of death
